Returns & Exchange Policy

Customer satisfaction couldn’t be more important to us, and we realize returns are sometimes necessary. As part of our customer care, we strive to make returns and exchanges the easiest they can be. We also strive to make our policy simple and forthright.

About Custom Furnishings

Hat Creek Interiors strives to produce unique and high quality furniture items. We focus on and work to provide detailed photos and dimensions so that you know without a doubt if the furniture item(s) will fit your area or not. We will be happy to answer any questions or, upon request, send physical leather samples before purchase. Unless the item is in-stock at the time of your purchase, our products are built to order and are inherently unique due to variations in both cowhides and leathers. Therefore we do not accept returns on any of our made-to-order custom furniture items.


Returns are accepted only if the item was damaged, defective, or if we shipped the wrong merchandise. Please be aware that colors and patterns may vary from photos on our website in comparison to the actual merchandise due to a variety of factors. This includes variances in the item itself (such as hues or naturally varying patterns in leather and fabrics), and in the case of the hand-crafted or hand-painted nature of most of our items, variances are to be expected and are part of the items’ charm. Other elements, such as lighting and differences in computer monitor color temperature, may also affect display of merchandise, especially under different conditions. These types of variances from product to product are not considered defects.

A Word About Color

Due to variation on devices used to view our products, such as mobile screens, tablets and desktops, the colors shown may appear different than the product you receive. Colors of our images viewed on different devices may not be precise or accurate. It is not possible to guarantee that colors of the products you receive will be an exact match to the color of the product you have viewed online. We also advise that some colors portrayed online may also vary due to slight changes in dye and materials that occasionally occur. We cannot be held responsible for these differences. By completing your purchase and agreeing to our terms and conditions you acknowledge that you have read and understood this.


We allow one full week (7 calendar days) from the date the merchandise is delivered (according to official shipment tracking) to notify us that a return is necessary. We are glad to issue store credit or make an exchange with comparable merchandise. Any returned item must not have been used, and be free from “wear and tear,” damage or other alteration. All original packaging and tags must be attached/included.

To Request A Return/Exchange

To initiate a return or exchange, please contact us first. We cannot honor returned items of which we were not notified beforehand. Please take photo(s) of the item(s) to document the damage or defect; we will request that you send us these. We will discuss with you the best route to return the merchandise and we will provide instructions.

Processing & Expectations

Returns are processed when we receive the returned merchandise in satisfactory condition (per the above). We will issue store credit or ship the item to be exchanged, commonly with 14 calendar days. We will notify you promptly if the are any issues or concerns with requested returns or exchanges. As always, please let us know if you have any questions.
